چکیده

This paper describes the observations and data reduction techniques for the version 2.0 images and catalog of the Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer Ultra Deep Field (NICMOS UDF) Treasury program. All sources discussed in this paper are based on detections in the combined NICMOS F110Wand F160W bands only. The NICMOS images are drizzled to 0B09 pixel 1 and aligned to the Advanced Camera for Surveys UDF F850LP image, which was rebinned to the same pixel scale. These form the NICMOS version 2.0 UDF images. The catalog sources are chosen with a conservative detection limit to avoid the inclusion of numerous spurious sources. The catalog contains 1293 objects in the 14400 ; 14400 NICMOS subfield of the UDF. The 5 signal-to-noise ratio level is an average 0B6 diameter aperture AB magnitude of 27.7 at 1.1 and 1.6 m. The catalog sources, listed in order of right ascension, satisfy a minimum signal-to-noise ratio criterion of 1.4 in at least seven contiguous pixels of the combined F110W and F160W image.

Search is Realized in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field Survey

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field Survey has not only provided the deepest optical and near infrared views of universe, but has enabled a search for the most distant supernovae to z ∼ 2.2. We have found four supernovae by searching spans of integrations of the Ultra Deep Field and the Ultra Deep Field Parallels taken with the Hubble Space Telescope paired with the Advanced Camera for Surveys and the ...

NICMOS Calibration Challenges in the Ultra Deep Field

The reduction of NICMOS observations in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field required unique reduction and calibration techniques, not required for images containing brighter sources. This paper describes some of these techniques which may be useful in the reduction of other fields containing extremely faint sources. These techniques apply to NICMOS camera 3 which was the only NICMOS camera utilized in ...

H-band observations of the Chandra Deep Field South

We report preliminary results of our H-band survey of the Chandra Deep Field South (CDFS). The observations were made using SofI on the NTT, and cover 0.027 square degrees with a 50% completeness limit ofH =20.5, and 0.17 square degrees with a 50% completeness limit of H =19.8. We used SExtractor to extract sources from our fields. In total we have detected 4819 objects. Star-galaxy separation ...

Near-Infrared Properties of I-Drop Galaxies in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field

We analyse near-infrared HST/NICMOS F110W (J) and F160W (H) band photometry of a sample of 27 i-drop candidate z ≃ 6 galaxies in the central region of the HST/ACS Ultra Deep Field (HUDF). The infrared colours of the 20 objects not affected by near neighbours are consistent with a high redshift interpretation. This suggests that the low redshift contamination of this i-drop sample is smaller tha...
